Amy Cole

Amy came to the farm to take lessons more than 10 years ago and never left! She soon began taking shifts at the farm in exchange for rides and quickly became part of the Willaway family. She now helps with the training and exercising of our horses as well as working in the barn.

She began riding as a young adult, always feeling a pull to horses but never having the opportunity to ride as a child.

Amy enjoys many aspects of working with horses, including developing the bond between horse and rider. Using a more holistic approach to horsemanship and being aware of how our thoughts, feelings and actions influence our equine partners is important to Amy.

Amy has a degree in Education from Ottawa University and works full time as an elementary school teacher. She has additional qualifications in Reading and Physical Education and a Biology degree from Trent University.
